• Worked to promote economic stability of persons, businesses, and neighborhoods in the City of Racine as the AmeriCorps VISTA (Volunteers in Service to America) member

• Organized  Landmark Preservation Commission annual workshop and event

• Liaison with commercial districts to educate and inform business and property owners on targeted initiatives

• Capacity building support to local Community Economic Development Corporation (CEDCO) 

• Disposition of City-owned properties – determining best reuse for vacant lots

• Member of the Root River Council Arts Committee 

 

 

Workforce Housing Coalition of the Greater Seacoast
Portsmouth, NH

​May 2013 - August 2013

 

• Intern - Primary project was researching information and assembling a Housing Resource Guide for the Greater Seacoast of New Hampshire and York County, Maine. (Available on website, and distributed to local residents and businesses)

• Created PowerPoint presentations to educate the general public, developers and planners on affordable housing in the New Hampshire and Maine Seacoast Area

 

 

Oyster River Sustainability Committee

• Educational Outreach Intern – Assisted with the initiative to use sustainable practices and processes to advance ORCSD sustainability efforts.

  • Created education outreach documents

  • Maintained ORCSD blog and website with weekly updates , and directed social media relations

• Created weekly blog posts relative to upcoming community events.

• Generated content for the Chambers social media presence on Facebook and Twitter.

• Completed various administrative tasks including layout of weekly member newsletter, layout and editing of press releases, and coordinating event information using Excel and Constant Contact.
