AmeriCorps VISTA Action Learning Challenge

As a VISTA Leader, I had the opportunity to apply for an Action Learning Challenge (ALC) project. I was fortunate enough to be accepted and work with a group of eight Leaders from around the United States on this topic: How can VISTA members and leaders effectively and meaningfully articulate and present their VISTA experience to potential employers?
The ALC is an opportunity to practice leadership skills in the context of a real-world project while at the same time enhancing the experience of current and future VISTA members and leaders. This engaging learning model is designed to enhance professional skills through meeting a significant goal that will positively influence the future of the VISTA program.
The final product of the ALC is a toolkit for VISTA members and Alumni to create a service experience portfolio.

UW-Parkside VISTA Project
In my second year with the UW-Parkside VISTA Project, I have taken over the role of VISTA Leader. I've had the opportunity to work on many different projects that will benefit seven VISTA members and eight supervisors.
To your left, you'll see the new website I created for the whole project using Wix, an impact infograph, and the article written about the project in the local newspaper.

Community Economic Development Corporation (CEDCO)

I was the volunteer community outreach coordinator with the CEDCO from November 2013 until December 2014. I created promotional flyers, brochures, and came up with innovative ideas for workshops. I was also tasked with writing the new vision, mission, and strategy statement - referred to as the ViMiStra.
